The mother of the groom jumped in and helped my daughter with her dress. In the wedding pictures, she dominates. She saw that her table was directly in front of the bride and groom, while the mother of the bride's table was put off to the side.

Your role is to be the bride's mom! Support her, love her and stand by her. Help her with all important decisions from decorating to helping with her budget. The things you help her with can be done privately, like on a Sunday afternoon at the dinner table. Your love and respect for her will be remembered for a lifetime.

If you feel like the MOG is intruding on your special moment with your daughter, try talking to your daughter about it. She might be able to help balance the time and planning between you and her future mother-in-law.
