I am the mother of bride and am widowed and the father of groom is widowed also. We are NOT dating but want to know if it is poor etiquette to walk into reception together as the parents of the newly married couple?

Yes! Matrimony of the wedding is the most significant not the traditional belief, because we are in the modern world.

The marriage vows are the most important part of your day. If you have the right officiant then they can work with you, to make your wedding day , your story. It does not have to be the traditional way, if this is what you want. I am a J P and I am listed. In Cut. Killingly. Helen Dauphinais. If you have questions call me.

Ask the bride what she wants. It is her day. You maybe go alone, than the grooms dad comes in later. Have fun at the wedding.

Ask the bride. If she thinks nothing is wrong with it go for it, other wise you just get escorted by one of the grooms men.

Absolutely!  Simply be sure you are announced as the MOB and FOG. And, to keep the romance rumors at bay...walk in together but forego arm-in-arm.
