Has your son asked for a specific amount? It really depends on how much you can, and want to give. While traditionally the bride's parents pay for the wedding, times have changed and we've seen the groom side offer to pay an average of 10%. Also, note that there are other ways to contribute (e.g. volunteer to help out with decor if you have the skills) or position your gift (e.g. pay for a specific item such as photography, or videography).
