I love the idea of lanterns on the table. You can also use greenery and tea lights to make affordable centerpieces.

I definitely think candles that are different heights make great centerpieces. Also, branches and fruit can be unique. If you really do want flowers but are trying to save money, you can always have some pretty vases on the table, and then your bridesmaids can put their bouquets in them during the reception (They're not going to want to hold onto them anyways!)

Candelabras as centerpieces eliminate the need for flowers and are very inexpensive to rent. Mason jars with candles in them look great too.

We used photos of favorite travel beaches with sand at the base and a sign saying what beach it was.

It all depends upon the theme and the budget. Lantern would be wonderful if the event is outdoor or in a tent. Glittery branches with votives hanging could be done with variation in height. Goodluck!

Yes, lanterns are really unique. Large 4" candles w/ wreaths around them are beautiful as well. The wreaths can be made w/ your wedding colors. Tall Glass cylinders (1 ft. -2 ft) can be purchased from Wal Mart. Add clear colored marbles to bottom. Fill with water. Add live goldfish, artificial floating flowers, floating tea candles (not all together though!). The marbles can be the same as your wedding colors. You can do a table for well under $20. http://www.charlestonweddingphotographers.com/ http://pinterest.com/charlestonphoto/boards/

19" tall battery operated palm trees are fun and festive centerpieces and tie in well with a tropical theme wedding. They cost less than $20 and get become a table door prize with a sticker under the coffee cup.

Bird cages lantern looks good to me and also clear wine glasses with white candles inside or any candle colors that matches the theme would be perfect. They are money saver but beautiful and has personal touch.
