The parents’ names go on the outside envelope. Alternately, you can write something like “Mr. and Mrs. Smith and Family,” as this will prompt them to bring their kids along, and then you can just list the kids’ names in the inside envelope. It’s still to write only the name of the parents and their children in the invitation because sometimes when we write “family,” some may bring their children’s cousins and other relatives.

And besides, writing down each children’s name will make the kids feel special.
